Do the double

While Ascot is not as testing as it was before its redevelop-ment, the fences are still stiff enough and the galloping nature of the course suits Master Minded down to the ground. I've seen him in the flesh at this venue a couple of times and he's quite simply a joy to watch. He's overcome the problems he had last season and we can expect a clear-cut victory in today's Victor Chandler Chase (2.25) most likely at the expense of Petit Robin. He's pretty short at 4/6, but if running to form, he should have some 15lbs in hand and I can't find any real reasons to oppose.

It should be business as usual at Old Trafford as Manchester United play host to a Birmingham side that are still in serious danger of relegation. The Blues may have managed a draw at home to United over the Christmas period, but they've only won one away game all season and it's impossible to see any other result than a decisive victory for the Red Devils this afternoon. Take United to land the half-time-full-time result, which is generally available at 4/6.
