Dettori poised for return after injury lay-off
FRANKIE DETTORI is set to return to competitive action "within the next 10 days", according to his business manager Peter Burrell
Dettori has been sidelined since October 2 when he suffered a fractured ankle in a fall going down to the start before a race at Nottingham.
His injury saw him miss out on the winning ride aboard Treve in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp four days later.
Criquette Head-Maarek's excellent filly is owned by Sheikh Joaan Al Thani, for whom Dettori is retained rider.
The 42-year-old jockey rode out in Newmarket yesterday morning and is now poised to make his comeback on the all-weather winter circuit as he gears up towards the Flat campaign.
