Dettori off mark with brace

Frankie Dettori secured his first winner of the new Flat season at Kempton yesterday -- followed in quick succession by his second.

The Italian last week stated his intentions to secure 150 victories this term, and made an early inroad into that aboard Sir Frank Wappat.

Sent off the 3/1 favourite for the Panoramic Bar & Restaurant Handicap, the three-times champion had a length and a quarter in hand of Master Mylo.

Dettori made an immediate return to the winner's enclosure when Manxman struck in the digibet Median Auction Maiden Stakes.

Meanwhile, Michael Bell will consider the Dante Stakes at York for new charge Coordinated Cut after first testing him out at Newmarket next month. The Montjeu colt made an impressive debut at Doncaster before disappointing in the Racing Post Trophy.
