Betting: Do the double

Wayne Bailey

Following home defeats to Everton and Newcastle earlier this month, Manchester United manager David Moyes appears to have steadied the ship, and the Red Devils head to Norwich seeking their sixth win in a row in all competitions. In contrast, Norwich have gone three games without victory. They don't seem to have the firepower. Back United to claim the points, at around 4/7.

A number of Irish and British-trained horses including Solwhit, Celestial Halo, Zaidpour, Reve de Sivola and Thousand Stars took part in the French Champion Hurdle in June, though none could get the better of domestic runner Gemix. Of the raiders, Solwhit ran best in second and, after a break over the autumn, Charles Byrnes has trained the nine-year-old with the Christmas Hurdle in mind (1.50 Leopardstown). On home turf, Solwhit (8/15) should have the measure of Zaidpour once again today.
