Louise Magee, the groom who led Tiger Roll out to Grand National glory, may not have slept for two nights but she still feels like she has been on a holiday.

Such is life for this multi-tasking young mother of two sets of twins, aged eight and six. Babysitting National Hunt racing's latest rock star on the world's biggest stage is, in comparison, a breeze.

"Going to Aintree is like a holiday for me," the 33-year-old said. "It is a good holiday to have."

Having helped Tiger Roll to back-to-back Grand National success, Ms Magee's reward this morning was a lie-in. The boys - Thomas, Andrew, Michael and Kieran - were due to be taken to school by their father.

Ms Magee, a childhood friend of trainer Gordon Elliott in Co Meath, has worked with Tiger Roll for five years, charting his rise to racing superstardom. She is modest about the part she has played, saying: "It's a massive team effort and I'm only a small part of it." (© Daily Telegraph, London)
