Aintree aim for Quevega
Quevega could tackle the boys at Aintree next month after winning the David Nicholson Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham for the second year in succession.
The six-year-old had been off the track since suffering an injury at Auteuil in May of last year but looked right back to her brilliant best on Tuesday. A close third behind Solwhit at last year's Punchestown Festival shows she can mix it at the highest level against the opposite sex, and the Aintree Hurdle on Grand National day is being eyed up by connections.
Elsewhere, Medermit pulled muscles in his back when finishing a disappointing seventh in the Champion Hurdle. Trainer Alan King reported the grey to be very sore but is undecided whether he will run again this season prior to going novice chasing next term.
