Just 12 remain in contention for the Barking Buzz Irish St Leger at Limerick and Clonbrien Hero is bidding to become only the second greyhound to win the Leger twice.

Kay Murphy's tracker goes in the first semi-final and has an outstanding chance of making it to the final.

He is well-drawn in trap four and while he can qualify for the final, he may have to give best here to the Michael O'Donovan-trained Kilbride Warrior which is very well housed in the inside box and can get first run.

Totos Park, a kennelmate of Clonbrien, is another major player and he can also make it to the decider.

The second heat promises to be the race of the night and the three favourites will be Lenson Blinder, Clonbrien Prince and Gurteen Feather.

The battle to the bend between Lenson and Gurteen can decide this race and David Murray's Gurteen Feather (9.54) may shade the issue.

Clonbrien Prince could give the Murphys a second finalist but I suspect there will be an upset in this heat.

Also tonight the Gain Select Stakes commences at Waterford and Newinn Lester looks the banker.
