Despite the bad weather forecast, no problems are anticipated at Shelbourne Park where tonight's card includes the final of the Comerford Cakes Open 525 and the second round heats of the Gain Dog Nutrition Christmas Oaks.

The Comerford Cakes has been won by some great dogs since it was first run back in 1995 and, while it is no longer strictly a puppy event, the field for the final includes some very interesting prospects for next season's classics.

BoyleSports have established Frisky Luck as their 15/8 favourite and Gerry Melia's tracker has strong prospects of landing the €12,000 prize. However it must be pointed out that Frisky Luck was beaten fair and square by Ballymac Twitter last week and the latter is quoted at 9/4.

Ballymac Twitter (9.12) is one of two runners for Liam Dowling and the other is litter brother Chespirito which cannot be ruled out of calculations. Peter Cronin's Coolavanny Sam has a lovely draw and looks sure to figure while the field is completed by Urban Fashion and Black Agenda.

There will be huge interest in the running of John Linehan's Droopys Ant (9.42) in Heat 2 of the Gain Christmas Oaks and she looks banker material after her 28.21 run last week.
