Those at Shelbourne Park this evening could be treated to an epic conclusion to the Best Car Parks Gold Cup. Featuring some of the fastest greyhounds in training, it could come down to small margins to land the €20,000 winner's purse.

Ballymac Anton was the mover in the market during the week and may well start favourite from the inside box but Grangeview Ten and Run Happy are also well found. The other three runners Pestana, Malachi and Ballymac Inspeed also deserve respect.

All three are well shy of their second birthday and have the potential to be a classic winners in the future.

It truly is a fitting line-up for a race of this profile. Picking a winner is no easy task but all evidence suggests the track will be running on the fast side and it could favour the front runners.

With that in mind, the vote goes to Grangeview Ten.

Blessed with immense early speed, he will be very hard to contain in the early yards and, if getting loose, could provide his handler Pat Guilfoyle with a second win of the competition. Ballymac Anton is nominated as the main danger from the rails draw.- Ian Fortune
