The Derby may be over for another year, but the performances continue at boiling point, as was evidenced over the weekend at Shelbourne.

The Dublin Coach Juvenile Derby featured flying runs and major shocks on Friday and then on Saturday the Shelbourne Open 600 opened with top-class runs.

Skywalker Logan was the top act in the Juvenile when dipping under the 28 second barrier and has soared up the betting lists for that classic.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, the Open 600 saw the Paul Hennessy trained Pudgie Budgie making a terrific debut over the trip when clocking 32.19, while Swithins Brae won in 32.22 and Beara Gig in 32.72.

The Agri Stores Fair Warrior Sprint commenced over the 400 yards at Mullingar and Pat Buckley's Droopys Steel set the pace here with a brilliant 21.52 .

Meanwhile, entries for the Irish St Leger close at Limerick at noon today.
