With entries closing after racing at Shelbourne Park tonight, the anticipation is that there will be about 120 runners in the 2017 BoyleSports Irish Derby.

The draw will be made on Monday morning. All are welcome and it will be streamed live on http://bit.ly/DerbyDraw2017

Leading contenders entered yesterday included Native Chimes, Cahir Castle, Dumas, Fast Fit Alex, Loskeran Vardy, Velvet John Joe and Droopys De Rossi.

A few of the leading Derby fancies will go through their paces tonight when there will be huge interest in PJ Fahy's English Derby runner-up Tyrur Shay in the concluding BoyleSports Getting Out 550, with Sab Miller, Dumas and Dream Dude among his rivals.

The Tipperary Cup is one of the great traditional events of the Irish track season and the final of the Thurles Fresh Milk- sponsored competition will be a big crowd-puller at Thurles.

Cahir Castle has the credentials to collect the €8,700 first prize.
