Rocket heads the 120 derby entries
The final number of entries for the BoyleSports Irish Derby settled at 120 and the sponsors have reacted to the draw by cutting Graham Holland's Clares Rocket to 7-1 favourite.
Clares Rocket had been priced at 8-1 but a combination of a good draw and the withdrawal of the injured Tyrur Shay saw his price tightening.
The English Derby third will go into action in Heat 7 of Thursday's opening session and he will go to traps a hot favourite to lead home the likes of British raider Inky Holdem and Coolavanny Mason.
Holland is responsible for three of the four favourites for the Classic with last year's favourite Sonic at 16-1 and Clonbrien Hero at 20-1.
The exception is Kevin Hutton's English challenger Dorotas Wildcat which is the 14-1 second favourite. He is one of six UK-trained challengers.
PJ Fahy yesterday explained that Tyrur Shay picked up a nasty injury in his back left leg on Saturday when badly baulked on the bend.
However, he reports it appears to be a muscular injury and he hopes to have him back for a race at Towcester on Puppy Derby final night in December.
Tonight's Shelbourne card will be the one postponed due to mechanical failure last week and the first race is at 7.40pm.
