Lenson Blinder made a major statement in advance of the BoyleSports Irish Derby when posting a flying time in the Getting Out 550 at Shelbourne Park on Saturday.

Winner of the Champion Puppy 550 final in his previous run, Lenson Blinder flew out and blitzed his rivals as he won by five lengths from Crossfield Will in 29.24. It represented the seventh best time recorded over the distance at the track.

It completed a hat-trick in the last three races for trainer Graham Holland who earlier landed the Derby Trial Stake with Lenson's litter brother Slippy Cian as he led virtually all the way when beating Gurteen Feather by five lengths in 29.46.

The other kennel winner was Totos Park which clocked 28.54 for the 525 yards.

The final of the Thurles Fresh Milk Tipperary Cup was won by last year's Dublin Coach Juvenile Derby winner Skywalker Rafa as he led from the first bend when beating Storeman Tom by a length in 28.88.

There were two huge runs on Friday when the Pat Buckley-trained Javielenko flew from traps when winning the Gain Corn Cúchulainn final by five lengths from Droopys Lagoon in 41.26.

On the same night at Dundalk Buckley's Droopys Steel smashed the track record when winning his heat of the Bar One Irish Sprint Cup in 20.81.
