Jaytee Taylor emerged from the third round of the BoyleSports Irish Derby at Shelbourne Park as the 5/1 favourite for the classic with the sponsors after another flawless victory.

Trained by Paul Hennessy for John Turner, he is one of three dogs still unbeaten in the classic and his time of 29.39 was the joint fastest of the round. He broke fast from the traps and led virtually all the way for a four-and-a-half length margin over Margaret Bolton's Beara Gig.

Sharing that time with him was Lenson Blinder, which got back to winning ways as he led all the way for a three-and-a-half length verdict over Magical Bale. Lenson was one of four heat winners on the night for trainer Graham Holland, who was also on the mark with Totos Park in 29.42, Drive On Tipp in 29.58 and Clona Blaze in 29.55.

The other heat winners were the Peter Cronin handled Crossfield Will in 29.49, Pat Guilfoyle's Cabra Hurricane in 29.62 and John Browne's Newhall Missile in 29.67.
