Since the first-round draw was made for the Best Car Parks Gold Cup, the hot favourite for the €20,000 event has been Cabra Hurricane and the Pat Guilfoyle-trained dog will still be the market leader when the runners go to traps for the first semi-final at Shelbourne Park this evening (9.42).

Cabra's running is all about early pace and he is again fancied to lead his rivals all the way.

There is plenty of early pace in the opposition but few can match the Hurricane in that department.

Cases can be made for all his rivals but the two to give him most to do can be John Linehan's Droopys Alice and Paul Hennessy's Priceless Blake.

Guilfloyle also has the favourite for the other heat in Music Toour Ears (9.57) but he will have a major threat from the well-drawn Priceless Verona.

Baytown Bubba and Garryvoe Noah give David Murray a real chance of getting at least one runner through to next week's final. Music may play the right tune once again.
