Despite finishing only fourth in the first round, Coolavanny Dream got back into the Red Mills/ NTSC Open Unraced Stake at Newbridge at the semi-final stage last week when she produced an explosive winning performance.

An inside draw in this evening's final appears to be ideal for Noel Browne's bitch and she is taken to credit the Castleisland enthusiast with the €4,700 prize.

In the semi-final, Coolavanny Dream was led decisively into the back straight by Liam Dowling's Ballymac Trinkle before flying past that rival at the third bend and going on to a most impressive victory from Palatine Diva and Ballymac.

The other heat saw Dowling's Ballymac Maxi decisively retain her unbeaten record as she beat the strong-finishing Mays Magician by a length-and-a-half with Ravenswood Totti in third.

Coolavanny Dream has landed the inside box again for the decider and that should be sufficient to allow her to confirm the semi-final performance with Ballymac Maxi and Mays Magician the major dangers.
