Buckley has another strong hand in Kirby

Winner of the past two runnings of the competition, Pat Buckley made the perfect start to the Kirby Memorial at Limerick on Saturday night when turning out three winners, including the two fastest scorers - Droopys Davy in 28.28 and Droopys Biker in 28.33.

Droopys Biker got the better of the high-profile clash with Minor Mike when leading home by a length and a half before Droopys Davy produced the fastest run of the night when leading all the way for a six-and-a-half length margin over Beaming Paradise in 28.28.

The other Buckley winner was Pennylane Masara in 28.79, while the other star performers were Gerry Holian's Lemon Shane in 28.35, Brendan Maunsell's Cash Is King in 28.43, and Liam Dowling's Chespirito in 28.47.

Buckley also had a good night at Mullingar where Droopys Dargle was fastest in the All Pet Supplies Cesarewitch in 33.33.
