The scene is set for a terrific final following two thrilling semi-finals to the Best Car Parks Gold Cup at Shelbourne Park on Saturday night.

Both winners Jaytee Yankee and Borna Gin impressed -Borna Gin's run which ranks among the greatest seen at the famed venue over the years.

Borna Gin was a forlorn hope when eight lengths behind Coolavanny Mason entering the back . But he flew to the third bend to get in touch with the leaders and then sped up the inside to snatch a half-length victory over Coolavanny Mason in 28.44, with Moorstown Bobby also making the final.

The first semi was reduced to five runners with the withdrawal of Skywalker Rafa and it was Jaytee Yankee which made all the running in 29.35, the fastest time of the heats.

Jaytee was chased by Gurteen Feather from the second bend and only a length separated them at the third bend. But Jaytee increased the advantage on the dash to the line where he had two and a quarter lengths in hand of Gurteen in 28.35. Chespirito was three quarters of a length third.

Final draw: 1 Coolavanny Mason 2 Chespirito 3 Gurteen Feather 4 Borna Gin 5 Jaytee Yankee 6 Moorstown Bobby.
