Aulton Jet can fly in supersprint
It will be a Saturday with a difference at Shelbourne Park this evening with the Harold's Cross protest outside the gates while inside the semi-finals of the Best Car Parks Gold Cup are due to be run, WRITES MICHAEL FORTUNE.
There is a certain degree of uncertainty in the air but Patrick Flynn, general manager of Shelbourne, said: "We have over 400 people booked into the restaurant and we will have the normal services." Between the races at Shelbourne and the Inter Track from Cork there will be plenty of betting opportunities.
The racing at Curraheen Park will include the four heats of the Greyhound & Petworld Supersprint where the Michael Enright-trained Aulton Jet will be the major attraction. A flying two-bend performer, he is a strong fancy to win the final heat.
Others worth noting include Owen McKenna's pair of Create A Star and Cahir Castle.
