This is shaping up to be one of the all-time great Ryder Cup clashes.
Patrick Reed and Rory McIlroy, two players who have whipped the crowd into a frenzy this weekend more than any others, are trading blow for blow in the final day singles like Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier in their prime.
The home crowd are naturally supporting Reed, who is wildly gesturing to the gallery after every good shot - of which there have been many. The American already has an eagle and a number of birdies on his card, to the delight of the US fans.
For his part, McIlroy is giving it right back, sinking multiple birdies as he and Reed duke it out in what is - as the opening match - arguably the most crucial encounter of all.
Just watch the reaction of the Northern Irishman at the eighth after draining a crucial birdie putt. What's even more impressive is that Reed followed this outsized display of passion with a birdie of his own to keep the game at all square.
Rory McIlroy's cupping of the ear is a good impression of Hulk Hogan in is professional wrestling heyday.
