Watch: Shane Lowry, Davis Love and Louis Oosthuizen all sink incredible hole in one on the 16th at US Masters
'When you live those moments, you'd love to just go back and relive it. It was pretty crazy' - Lowry
He may not finish the weekend at Augusta in the famous green jacket, but Shane Lowry’s hole in one on the 16th hole has cemented his place in US Masters' folk lore forever.
The Offaly man pulled off an incredible shot in front of an awestruck crowd on the final day of the tournament.
While Lowry is has virtually zero chance of winning, despite an impressive opening round, there is no denying that he’ll be pleased with a shot that is likely to follow him for the remainder of his career. According to Jason Sobel of ESPN, the 27-year-old has earned himself a crystal bowl in the process.
Speaking afterwards, Lowry said he'd love to live the moment again, but was quick to express his disappointment with how the day panned out for him overall.
"It was crazy," he said.
"When you live those moments, you'd love to just go back and relive it. It was pretty crazy."
However, Lowry wasn't the belle of the ball for too long as America's Davis Love repeated the feat with an equal aplomb. And later, Louis Oosthuizen added another trick shot to his collection when he scored the same hole-in-one.
Maybe they'll have a time share for the bowl.
