Tiger's off-putting experience
Tiger Woods switched putter for the second time in a week in a last-gasp bid to revive his Open campaign, but still found himself reduced to the status of an also-ran at St Andrews.
At the start of the week, Woods ditched the putter which has won him 13 of his 14 Majors, including the last two Opens at the Home of Golf by eight and five shots.
But after taking 99 putts in the first three rounds left him 12 shots off the lead held by South African Louis Oosthuizen, Woods abandoned the experiment for the final round.
It was another short romance for the world No 1. "I believe I had like nine three-putts for the week, so consequently I'm pretty far down the board," he said.
