That's gotta hurt - Rory spectator 'ends up in cactus'

Rory McIlroy may have had his troubles on the golf course recently but spare a thought for one of his fans at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship yesterday.

The Northern Irish star was teeing off on the 16th hole at Dove Mountain in his first round match against Boo Weekley yesterday.

While the camera stayed firmly on McIlroy as he teed off, a spectator apparently felt the ball was after getting a little too close and jumped out of the ball ... and directly into a cactus.

Still, the unnamed spectator might have been better off getting hit with the ball - if it was going to clip him.

in 2012 at the British Open, McIlroy hit teenage golf fan Jason Blue with a wayward tee shot.

However, generous McIlroy who was clearly upset after injuring the teenager on the 15th hole at Royal Lytham and St Anne's, decided to stump up for a hotel when he learnt that Jason and friend were camping in a nearby field.

"I'd like Jason to have a roof over his head and a comfortable place to stay," McIlroy said afterwards
