Damian Mooney finished birdie, par, birdie, eagle to win the Flogas Pro-Am on a wet and blustery afternoon at Knightsbrook Hotel Spa & Golf Resort.

His superb late salvo saw him sign for a five under par 67 and a one-shot win over Tulfarris Golf Resort's Simon Thornton and Carlow's Damien McGrane.

Mooney played his opening nine holes in one under par with birdies at the 17th and fourth and a dropped shot at the par three third.

He then followed a bogey at the fifth with a bounce back birdie at the par-five sixth set him up for a run of three pars that was then polished off in style with that final closing flourish from the 10th to the 13th.
