Staunton is in record form
Mark Staunton fired a course record seven-under 65 to win the Oughterard Pro-Am.
The Galway native made six birdies and an eagle on his way to victory, the only blemish coming at the par-three 13th where he dropped a shot.
"I putted a bit better than I have been doing recently and made the most of the bit of luck that came my way," said the 34-year-old.
"I haven't played a lot of events over the last couple of years, but I've tried to play a bit more this year and I feel that things are gradually starting to come back a bit."
Shane Franklin finished alone in second following a five-under 67, with Michael McDermott (Pure Golf Leopardstown) third with a 68. Paddy Sheehy (McGuirk's Golf) walked away with the team prize, guiding his amateur partners to success with 95 points.
