BRANDT SNEDEKER dropped two strokes before he hit a ball yesterday morning. The American was handed a two-stroke penalty on the first hole, leading to a treble-bogey seven, after turning up two minutes and 15 seconds late for his tee time. He missed the cut on seven-over after completing a second-round 73.
"I thought my tee time was 8.20 and it was at 8.10," explained Snedeker (above), who'd arrived at the course at 6.30.
"I was on the putting green when I learned what time I was off. I sprinted but was too late. That's the first time that's happened in my career, and I guarantee it'll be my last. It's very frustrating to say the least but you live and learn."
