The attraction of the Ryder Cup

"I've played in it, I've been a vice-captain and I love watching it. I've told everyone that from Friday to Sunday I'm unavailable for anything. I'm hoping it's going to be as close a contest as it was in Wales."

Weirdest instruction from Woosnam in '06.

"First match, first day at The K Club. Monty's down the fairway, Dr Michael Smurfit is standing on the fairway 40 yards behind Monty. Woosie says via the radio: 'get him out of there.' So I had to politely ask the owner of The K Club, the man who brought the Ryder Cup to Ireland, who laid his money on the line, to move. He was very nice about it."
