Europe's captain Paul McGinley and his US counterpart Tom Watson pick four two-man teams to go head-to-head. Each player plays his own ball for the duration of each hole. The player with the lowest score wins a point for his team. If the lowest scoring player from each team are tied then a half-point is awarded to each side.
