Rory McIlroy knows he should take it as a compliment, but he is fed up of being compared with Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods seemingly every time he wins. His victory at the WGC-Cadillac Match Play on Sunday was no exception.

After he defeated Gary Woodland, McIlroy was asked about emulating Nicklaus and Woods in becoming the only players to have won 10 PGA Tour titles before their 26th birthday.

McIlroy did not know before that moment, but instead of beaming with pride, he rolled his eyes.

"Every time I have a win, I keep hearing those guys' names come up," McIlroy said. "It's great to be mentioned with the likes of Tiger and Jack, the two greatest players that I think have ever played this game. But I'm on my journey and I'll see where I get."

McIlroy spent yesterday at his West Palm Beach home celebrating his 26th birthday with his parents and friends.
