Palmer to wear tv mic
RYAN PALMER is prepared to go where many of his fellow PGA Tour players fear to tread by donning a Golf Channel microphone for the opening two rounds of the defence of his Sony Open title at Waialea Country Club in Honolulu.
The Golf Channel will not air Palmer's on-course comments live, instead they will use them as part of feature spots. However, some of his colleagues fear that private strategy he might discuss with his caddie on the course might be heard by someone else, even if it didn't make the broadcast.
Just 26 of the 33 who played in last week's Tournament of Champions have remained in Hawaii for this week's event.
