Padraig Harrington is currently doing all the right things to make the cut at the US PGA Championship after an impressive opening seven holes in his second round at Baltusrol.

The Dubliner is currently on par for the day and +1 overall, leaving him tied for 54th position, well inside the predicted cut of 70.

While Rory McIlroy is -1 under for the day after five holes, he is +3 overall and joint for 89th with compatriot Darren Clarke, Phil Mickelson and Luke Donald.

Graeme McDowell finished the day on +5 and is +9 overall so, from his position of 143rd, playing into the weekend seems improbable. Shane Lowry didn't fare quite so poorly as he scored a +3 today but is +5 overall.
