Ireland's Paul Dunne advances to the last 16 at the US Amateur Championships

Greystones' Paul Dunne is through to the last 16 at the US Amateur Championships after a 3&2 victory over Caleb Proveaux in Illinois today.
The 22-year-old has been in good form at the Olympia Fields' Country Club and was three up at the turn.
He never surrendered his lead and although he bogeyed the 16th, his opponent couldn't capitalise.
In blustery condition, Dunne failed to make a birdie but still emerged as the winner.
Dunne will face either David Oraee or David Cooke in the next round.
