Ireland's Euro glory
Ireland won the European Nations Cup at the Spanish Amateur Championship in Jerez's Sherry Club.
And four Irish aces - Robin Dawson, Jack Hume, Gavin Moynihan and Gary Hurley - stayed in contention for individual honours in the Championship with solid rounds.
Dawson led the way with a 143 total after a 70, while Hume and Hurley were bracketed together on 145 after carding second-round scores of 72 and 75 respectively to qualify for the knock-out phase.
Moynihan, who improved by eight strokes on his previous round, also made it through to the last 32 with a 148 aggregate.
With a 36-hole total of 285, and two out of three cards counting, Ireland triumphed by four strokes from England A and France A.
Hurley now faces Jim Liu while Hume meets Lars Keunen, while there is an all-Irish battle between Moynihan and Dawson.
And in the Ladies Championship, the Irish pair of Chloe Ryan and Maria Dunne also qualified after recording scores of level-par 72 yesterday.
