Galbraith leads the way
Ireland look poised for a place in the quarter-finals of the European Boys Team Championship in Sweden.
Going into the second and final day of qualifying over the Lindigo course, they are handily placed in joint-fifth position.
Whitehead's John-Ross Galbraith, a quarter-finalist in last year's British Boys Championship, led the way yesterday with an excellent level-par 70 -- and that came after he had bogeyed the first three holes. A homeward half of three-under-par 33 got him back to level.
Alex Gleeson posted a 71 with halves of 35 and 36, while Gavin Moynihan went around in 72.
With five of the six cards counting, the Irish posted a 12-over-par total of 362, but they cannot afford any slip-ups today as Scotland, France and Norway are breathing down their necks.
Italy lead the way on one-under 349, nine clear of Austria.
