Gerard Pique: United are wasting their time with Fabregas bids
Former Manchester United centre-half Gerard Pique believes there is no chance of his Barcelona team mate Cesc Fabregas leaving the Nou Camp for Old Trafford.
United have already ad two bids for the midfielder turned down, with the second believed to be worth £30million plus add-ons, and Pique doesn't envisage any citcumstance which would lead to a deal being done.
The Spanish international is quoted in The Sun as saying: "United are wasting their time.
"It took a long time for Cesc to get his dream move back home and he won't give it up.
"This is home. It is where his family is, and he is playing with his closest friends.
"United are wasting their time. It took a long time for Cesc to get his dream move back home and he won't give it up."
"He has told us he is happy and that he intends to stay with Barcelona."
Andres Iniesta also believes that his midfield partner is going nowhere.
"I can't see Cesc leaving," the 29-year-old said.
"It's normal that great players attract the interest of other clubs. Barca are very lucky to have him and I hope we get to keep playing together."
The BBC have quoted a Barcelona source as saying; "Fabregas is not for sale. The President has been very clear with Man United."
