Galway second half surge seals All-Ireland intermediate camogie crown

Galway made up for their defeat in last year's final to produce an excellent secind half display to beat Limerick by 0-12 to 0-10 in the All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie final at Croke Park.

Joe Quaid's Limerick team looked destined for victory after five excellent first half points from the highly accurate Niamh Mulcahy meant they were the sides were level at six points apiece at the interval despite the fact that Limerick had played into a stiff breeze.

Galway stepped up their performance in the second half with aerial dominace and a brilliant defensive display but the three points from Orlaith McGrath were crucial.

Galway led by 0-11 to 0-1o in injury time before Rebecca Hennelly dusted herself down to land a crucial free.

Limerick tried desperately to find a winning goal but Galway held on for victory.
