Dublin 2-14 Meath 0-7
Dublin eased through to the Leinster U-20 FC final with an impressive 13-point victory over Meath in the semi-final at Parnell Park on Saturday.
An early Kieran McKeon point set the tone of Dublin dominance and they were soon four points to the good as Luke Swan bundled home a Ciaran Archer cross-shot.
Points followed from Evan Caulfield, Swan and Archer before Meath opened their account through a free by Luke Mitchell.
Meath’s scores in the first half all came from placed balls, with Liam Byrne’s ‘45’ augmented by a Jordan Morris free, but two points in quick succession from Mark Lavin ensured a 1-8 to 0-3 interval lead for Dublin.
Early in the second half Lorcan O’Dell made a run matched by a finish beyond Seán Brennan for Dublin’s second goal. Padraig Purcell impressed upon his arrival with two fine points.
Meath did manage two late scores through Matthew Costello and Dáithí McGow, but the damage was done.
