All-Ireland MFC final

Kerry v Tipperary, Croke Park, 1.15, D Gough (Meath) LIVE TG4

Jack O'Connor's Kerry side have largely kept teams at arm's length or more in this campaign with the exception of their one-point extra-time win over Cork in Tralee in the Munster semi-final before going on to beat Tipp in the provincial decider.

In that game Kerry hit 2-6 in the first 15 minutes, though the consensus is that Charlie McGeever's youngsters have improved since that.

A handful of their players will have spent the last fortnight recovering from their All-Ireland minor hurling final defeat.

Alan Tynan is among their dual stars but he has also been lining out for Leinster rugby's underage team in the same period. Tynan is key to their hopes but they are a gutsy outfit, having seen off Kildare despite being reduced to 14 men after 15 minutes.

In defence they have tightened up since that early Kerry blitz and they have coughed up just 15 points in their last two games. But Kerry seem to have a handful of different game winners, including Conor Geaney. Kerry to edge it.

Verdict: Kerry
