THE THROW-IN PODCAST: Donaghy still the key for Kerry and are Mayo back to their best?
To preview Sunday's first All Ireland football final between Kerry and Mayo, Vincent Hogan and Colm Keys joined Will Slattery and Rory O'Connor on the latest episode of Throw-In.
"Kieran Donaghy is still the key man for Kerry and he’s gone up a notch from just a few years ago,' says the Irish Independent's Vincent Hogan. 'How much of it has been the influence of Maurice Fitzgerald? And what’s Mayo plan for dealing with him?'
Are Mayo back to their best the panel asked.
"Mayo seemed to have remembered who they were but you can't get out of your head how they’ve struggled this year either. All of the doubts about all of the people in that Mayo group remain unchanged," says Hogan.
As to whether the favourites, Kerry, can reach another final, the Throw-in panel are still hedging their bets with both Will and Rory saying Mayo can beat the Kingdom.
