Rachel Wyse to front Sky's GAA coverage as new lineup unveiled
SKY Sports has unveiled its lineup for its inaugural season of GAA coverage.
Sunday Independent columnist Jamesie O'Connor has been announced as lead hurling analyst and will be joined by co-commentator Tipperary legend Nicky English.
In football Peter Canavan will be lead analyst with 1985 All Star Paul Earley.
As expected Sky News anchor and Irish Independent columnist Rachel Wyse has also been named in the new Sky Sports team and will front coverage with Brian Carney who presents Sky's rugby league coverage.
Dave McIntyre and Brian Finnerty have been announced as commentators.
The new faces were revealed at a press conference in Croke Park this morning.
In March the GAA announced it had signed a deal with Sky Sports which will have exclusive rights to 14 championship clashes this summer, in addition to shared coverage of the senior football and hurling finals.
Last week Sky Sports revealed the four games they will show in June, starting with the meeting of Kilkenny and Offaly in the Leinster SHC on June 7th.
This will be followed by the clash of Dublin and Wexford/Qualifier in the Leinster SHC on June 14th.
They will also televise Sligo against Galway/London in the Connacht SFC on June 21st and the Ulster semi-final between Armagh/Cavan and Down/Tyrone/Monaghan on June 28th.
