Healy Park was plunged into darkness last night as floodlight failure meant the National League fixture between Tyrone and Armagh had to be halted for 30 minutes in the second half.

Monaghan had kicked six points in-a-row to turn a five-point deficit into a one-point lead early in the second half when the incident occurred.

The game was restarted once the problem was rectified with the home side trailing by a point.

The break in play did little to halt Monaghan’s momentum who claimed the first three scores on the resumption.

Niall Morgan finally got the home side’s first score of the second period but the response was emphatic as Stephen Gallogly found the net and the visitors ran out deserving winners on a scoreline of 1-13 to 0-09.
