Watch: John Mullane's pumped up press box reaction to Austin Gleeson's wonder goal sums up Waterford's passion
The Waterford legend professed his adoration for the Deise in a famous interview after receiving a red card in the Munster final in 2004, with Waterford subsequently losing to Kilkenny in the All-Ireland semi-final in his absence.
13 years later, Derek McGrath's side didn't suffer as badly from Tadhg de Burca's suspension, blitzing Cork late on in the penultimate stage to qualify for a first All-Ireland final since 2008.
One of the game's key moments was Austin Gleeson's solo goal after a dizzying run to put Waterford five clear, after which they never looked back.
Watching on in the press box, Mullane knew how crucial the score was. The quintuple All Star abandoned any semblance of objectivity and celebrated passionately after Gleeson flicked the ball to the net.
Watch Mullane's brilliant reaction below, while keeping in mind that he said he would ride a horse naked down the quay in Waterford if they deliver Liam MacCarthy!
