Davy Fitzgerald’s Limerick IT team booked their Independent.ie Fitzgibbon Cup quarter-final place with a five-point success over Dublin IT at Parnells GAA club.

They added to last week’s win over Jordanstown to ensure they will finish top of that three-team group on a scoreline of 1-18 to 1-13 and advance to the last eight.

Paul Killeen reacted quickly to a rebounded free for an early LIT goal but Michael Lee slipped through to respond with a shot that hit a divot and went beyond Aaron Murphy.

Jack Guiney was the main man for DIT hitting nine points but he couldn't stop LIT from recording a facile victory.
