Thurles CBS advanced to the Croke Cup final as they recovered from a poor start to see off St Peter's College at Carriganore yesterday. Despite conceding a goal and a point in the opening two minutes, Thurles rallied to level by half-time.

They took the lead upon the resumption and never ceded the initiative thereafter. St Peter's got off to a dream start as Rory O'Connor netted in the game's early stages and that goal was the difference between the teams for much of the half.

Billy Dunne and Matthew Joyce impressed for Peter's as Thurles faltered in front of goal but they managed five unanswered points before half-time. Ronan Teehan, Niall Heffernan, Kevin Duggan and Robbie Long all pointed and then Teehan and Heffernan put them in front immediate after the restart.
