Goals early in the second-half were the key as Waterford's Lismore celebrated provincial glory in Mallow.

Two late first-half points from Kilmoyley's Daniel O'Connor - the Kerry senior champions' only scorer - left the game tied at 0-7 each at half-time, but Lismore struck on the resumption to assume a hold on the game that they would not cede.

Maurice Shanahan put them ahead with his fifth point - on the way to an individual tally of 1-9 - before Peter O'Keeffe's well-taken goal.

When Shanahan added a second goal on 40 minutes, they were 2-11 to 0-9 in front, an unshakeable lead.

Shanahan finished with 1-9 and was generally a menace for the Kilmoyley defence, and but for a great Aiden McCabe save in the first-half his brother Dan would have goaled.

At the other end, Kilmoyley couldn't pierce the Lismore rearguard and with O'Connor their only scoring outlet, the gap was too large to bridge.
