Setanta were crowned champions for the first time in nine years as a scoring blitz at the start of the second half pushed them clear of St Eunan's .

Setanta led 0-7 to 0-6 at the break and hit 1-4 in the third quarter with points by Bernard Lafferty, Mark Kane and a brace of frees by Declan Coulter.

Coulter found his range with one whopping free from all of 80 metres and, from another long-range punt, the ball broke invitingly and Colm Melaugh stooped to sweep past Eunan's goalkeeper Colm Breathnach.

St Eunan's responded when Sean McVeigh raced through the middle and blasted beyond Setanta 'keeper Ciaran Bellew but Setanta held firm.
