Ryan secures Walsh Cup for rampant Dublin side
Dublin 1-22 Wexford 1-12
Dublin secured the Bord na Móna Walsh Cup for the third time in six seasons and for the sixteenth time in their history when they outclassed Wexford at Croke Park.
It was an unhappy return to headquarters for Wexford who were making their first appearance at Croke Park since 2007. Dublin were flattered by their seven point interval advantage (0-11 to 0-4) as Wexford hit seven wides compared to three for the opposition and created four decent goal scoring chances only to find Conor Dooley in unbeatable form.
The teams exchanged goals midway through the second half but with Dublin free-taker Paul Ryan consistently on target, Dublin were always more efficient in the scoring department than the visitors
