Dublin pulled away in the second-half to complete a comfortable 13-point victory over Offaly in their Electric Ireland Leinster Minor Hurling Championship Tier 1 encounter at Parnell Park.

The Dubs led by 0-12 to 1-7 at the break but completely dominated upon the restart, with Luke Swan's superb solo goal in the 60th minute a fitting conclusion to their improved showing after the interval.

It was the visitors that landed the first body blow as full-forward Dan Murray fired home in the third minute following an excellent run by Luke Nolan, with Dublin staying in touch thanks to a brace of scores by Dara Purcell and one from Conall Ó Tuathaill.

Gradually, the hosts began to enjoy a greater degree of possession and were rewarded, with seven first-half frees from Charlie Keher edging them two points clear by the turnaround.

Two scores from the impressive Ben McSweeney enhanced Dublin's position after the break and with their opponents struggling to make any impression in attack, the Dubs pulled away with Purcell finishing the game with five points from play.
