Four second half goals paved the way for this Meath victory in the U-21 B semi-final at Trim.
Mayo led 0-6 to 0-5 at the break but suffered a massive blow when David Kenny was sent off on receipt of a second yellow card on the approach to half-time.
The hosts seized the initiative within three minutes of the restart with a goal from Gavin McGowan.
Full forward Fergal Flattery added another and when sub Sean Doyle netted on 41 minutes it left it 3-6 to 0-6.
Sean Regan scored Mayo's goal at the end of the third quarter but they never threatened to make up the leeway.
