Roscommon produced a quality performance to defeat holders Tyrone at Carrickmore and reach the Nicky Rackard Cup final.
Adrian Murphy's goal two minutes into the second half was the score that finally broke Red Hand resistance and opened the gates to Croke Park for the Connacht men.
Jerry Fallon's accuracy from placed balls helped the Rossies open up a five-point lead, but the home side dominated the last 15 minutes of the first half.
Damian Casey, Matthew Mulgrew and Conor Grogan all fired over points as they levelled matters before going in at the break deadlocked on 0-9 each.
But Justin Campbell's side restored their five-point cushion with a 1-2 salvo in the opening five minutes of the second half.
Fallon's delivery was drilled to the net by Murphy, and long-range scores from Ronan O'Meara and Micheal Kelly put the Connacht men in control.
This time, Tyrone were unable to find a response, and while they did register scores through Sean Og Grogan, Casey and Gerard Gilmore, they couldn't close the gap.
